I know this says “Baby Care Centre,” but it is also the entrance to the Disny Park First Aid Centre. Promise.
The first-aid centres: the best attractions at Disneyland Paris!
Ok, we’ve saved the best for last. The first-aid centres. There is one for each Park. Know where they are. They are your friends. Apparently, there is one in the Disney Village as well (which I only found out about when sitting down to write this guide – the more you know!).
The first-aid centres: the best attractions at Disneyland Paris!
So, why do we need to know about the first-aid centres if we aren’t planning on injuring ourselves while visiting the Parks?
Well, this isn’t just an instance of them being good to know about in case you need medical attention. No, the first-aid centres have something wonderful within them: a quiet room.
A Quiet Place
Knowing about the quiet room helped us enjoy the Parks far, far more than we would have otherwise. Do you remember when we talked about the importance of being able to go to your hotel room and control the level of sensory input you were getting? Well, this is like that. But IN the Parks. It obviously isn’t the same as your hotel room, where you can control more of your environment and relax more, but it IS a place where there is a lot less stimulation than anywhere else in the Parks.
To use the quiet rooms, we simply went to the first-aid centres and asked the attendants there if we could use a quiet room. Each time we went there (and we went almost daily) there were no other people there and we had no trouble accessing the quiet room. I can imagine that if the first-aid centres were uncommonly busy, we might not be able to access them, as other people with greater needs than we had would need to use that space. But again, that never happened to us.
Instead, the quiet rooms were a great space for us to retreat to when we needed a break from the lights and noise of the Parks. We also used them in a preventative way, lowering our sensory input before things got too bad for any of us. It is also possible to keep any medication here that you require while in the Parks that also needs to be kept cool.
Now that I’ve convinced you about the amazing nature of the first-aid centres, where do you find them? Well, and this may not come as a surprise any longer, you can find them using the app map. Because they are really important, I’ll put their locations here as well.
City Hall
That picture here? That’s City Hall. Well, at least a map of where it is.
City Hall is located in the Disney Park, not long after you enter through the main gates. After you enter through the gates where you need to show your ticket, there will be a courtyard in front of you. This is nice, but not where City Hall is. City Hall is in the NEXT courtyard, once you go through one of a series of archways that separates the entrance courtyard you are in from the City Hall one. Then, City Hall is located to your left. There may be a line to wait in before you can speak to someone inside, but there will be Cast Members located outside that you can ask questions.
Disney Park First-Aid Centre
This first-aid centre is located within the central plaza of the Disney Park. You can find it between the entrance to one of the arcades and the Plaza Gardens restaurant.
Studios Park First-Aid Centre
While I would love it if there were an option to add these to your app wish list, so you can display them with your other activities and even get directions to them! Sadly, that isn’t currently an option, so it is even more important to know where they are before you need them. Thankfully, you now know all that!
Alright, now that we are far, far too familiar with the infrastructure of the Parks, we can move on to what is in the Parks!
If this looks incredibly similar to the location of the Studio Services, that is because it is! Essentially, if Studio Services is located at the corner of the building in the picture, the first-aid centre is just further down that same path, then to the right when you reach the end. It is tucked away and very calm and quiet. Just what you want for a first-aid centre! There are also toilets along that same path. It is a magical place.
