Turning to the Studio’s Park, I have to tell you two things right up front: 1) there are fewer spots of sanity within the Studio’s Park than there are in Disney Park; and, 2) some of these are inevitably only going to be here when the construction in this Park is happening.
After the construction is complete, some of these – which are up against the construction barriers – will likely be very busy indeed.
But at least for now, here are some known spots to hide away when you need a minute or ten.
Terrifyingly Tucked Away
This one is a little hard to find, but it is a good one, tucked away right in the middle of things. Located by the entrance to the Tower of Terror, there are some construction barriers which are arranged to mostly block off a small seating area from the line for the ride. However, this isn’t entirely clear from the signage out front, making the seating area quite secluded. As there are few other quiet spots in the area, this has been very helpful for us. It is almost guaranteed that it will be going away when the construction is complete, however.
Marvellous Shawarma
While the map here makes it look as if this is simply part of a path, in reality there are construction barriers that block the path going North here, making this area into a cul-de-sac. Because of this, there are far fewer people who go down this road. Which is a shame, because the shawarma here isn’t half bad.
Ratatouille Hidey-Hole
This one is harder to see on the map, due to Buzz being in the way. Thankfully, he’s not there in real life. Well, he is there, but not in the way. Wait, that’s confusing. I regret bringing Buzz into the conversation.
What we’re looking for here is a short walkway behind a row of trees that separate us from the main path. This walkway is actually just past the side entrance to Chez Marianne, so if you can’t find it any other way, you can go through the main entrance and then out the side one. Plus, they sell snacks in there, so that’s a bonus. This area isn’t particularly quiet, as the walkway is separated from the main path by only a narrow line of greenery, but it is pretty decent in there. Because the walkway is lower down than the main path, there is a bit more privacy than there would otherwise be.
Road Trip Rest Stop
For this spot of sanity, we are visiting the world of Cars! At the entrance to Car’s Road Trip, there is a somewhat wide area nestled within a decent amount of green space. This is our spot. As it is at the end of a path, there are few other guests coming down here – unless they want to go for a road trip, I suppose. But even then, there is a very large queuing area for the ride, and that absorbs all of those coming to go on a road trip.
One nice aspect of this spot is that if the queue for the ride isn’t long, and it has never been long on any of the times that we’ve been to the Parks, then it is easy to slip into the back of the shaded section of the waiting area. This helps to keep both the sun and the rain off on those days when one or the other (or both) are causing us grief.
