There was a point after all!

Do you remember way back at the dawn of time when we were talking about the infrastructure of the Parks, and how that could affect us?

Well, we’ve finally come to the payoff of that work here, because when we actually know about how all those different stressors affect us, we can adjust our behaviours, to a certain extent, to avoid or reduce them. Even in Disneyland Paris.

Because Disneyland is loud. LOUD. And bright.

Did I mention it was loud? Because it is loud.

Stress is cumulative.

Earlier, we talked about how just being in the Parks themselves was around the equivalent sensory input of being on the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Now, don’t get me wrong, the Pirates of the Caribbean is a fun ride; one we have often returned to. But being on Pirates continuously for 10 or 12 hours at a time? Well, we begin to see why it may be wise to reduce our sensory inputs before they become overwhelming.

Thankfully, we’ve been doing that all along! All of the information in this guide is designed to help us reduce that mental load, and to make choices that allow us to enjoy our time in the Parks, rather than to just endure it. This circle of Disneyland Paris is intended for us to know ourselves, and to widen the number of choices we have within the Parks – often by bringing some of those choices with us.
