Right. So now that we’re inside the theatre, is there anything we need to know about?

Well, yes. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be asking the question!

With the theatres, the lights are kept decently low until the show is about to start. We didn’t have any trouble finding seats in the lowered light, and it was a nice sensory break after the scrum of the entry. The lights were turned off when the show started, other than emergency lighting, which allowed for the effects of the show to be more clearly seen. Which is great by itself, but it also increases the difference between the ‘normal’ lighting and the effects, which can be a bit of a sensory overload. Just so you are aware and can plan ahead.

Sometimes it is just too much.

But what happens if the show is just too much? Because, let’s be honest, this is a distinct possibility.

Well, I know what happens, because it happened to us! One of the Expansion Packs found the show to be too much, and so he and I left about ten minutes into the show. Which is fine!

If the point of going to the Parks is to have fun, and the show is distressing to someone, then leaving is the right choice! We grabbed our backpacks and stayed crouched low so as to cause the least disruption to the other guests as we left.

We were noticed by a Cast Member as soon as we got up out of our seats, and they used a small flashlight to help us find the exit. They first asked us if we were looking for the way out. Probably because this would also be the procedure to follow if you wanted to go to the bathroom, though you would presumably want to be let in again afterwards.

Alright. So that about wraps things up for characters and shows. Hopefully, with this information in hand, you will be able to plan out your days in the Parks to include some of these options. You know, if you want to.
